Pilot plan to return international students to NSW

We will update this page as more information becomes available so please check back regularly.

UNSW welcomes the NSW Government’s announcement on a plan to start returning international students to NSW. We have missed the many contributions international students make to our community and are looking forward to having our international students back on campus. The pilot plan is a joint undertaking between the NSW Government, Study NSW and all NSW and ACT universities and aims to see 500 fully vaccinated students return before the end of 2021.

We understand that many of our students and future students are keen to find out more details and whether they will be eligible to return under the plan. We are currently finalising details and will communicate this information in the coming weeks. Only a small number of UNSW students will be eligible to return in the initial phase but please be assured that we will continue to provide remote and online learning options for our current and commencing students overseas for as long as that is required. While the pilot will initially only bring a small number of international students back to Australia, it's an important milestone that will lay the foundation for the safe return of more students in the future.
